Campsite Fee Rate Implementation

The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking public input on a proposed fee change for Lees Ferry Campground at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (GLCA). The last fee increase was over 5 years ago. The proposed campground fee increases are based on comparable fees for similar services in nearby campgrounds. New camping fee rates will be implemented no later than Jan. 1, 2025.

Project, labor, and administrative costs have increased substantially, and the increased fees are necessary to maintain a high -level camping experience at GLCA. Fees will also help offset any additional administrative fees associated with the pick-up, transport, and remittance of the camping fees from these iron rangers.

The NPS encourages public participation in determining this Campsite Fee Rate Implementation. The project to determine fees is currently in the scoping phase, and comments may be submitted here or by mail to:

The NPS is also hosting an open house on August 21, 2024, from 5-7pm (AZ Mtn Std) at the Glen Canyon NRA Headquarters building. We look forward to answering questions and receiving comments about the project.
