Statement of Findings for Floodplains - Repairs to Administration Building, Dock and Grounds at Red Hook

In compliance with Executive Order 11988 for "Floodplain Management" and National Park Service (NPS) Director's Order (DO) #77-2: Floodplain Management and Procedural Manual (PM) #77-2 the National Park Service has prepared a Statement of Findings to evaluate the likely impacts of actions in floodplains at the NPS Red Hook facility on the island of St. Thomas within the limits of Virgin Islands National Park. The Statement of Findings presents the rationale for the location of building a new comfort station and shed facility in the floodplain at Red Hook. The Statement of Findings also considers the continued use of existing park infrastructure and development within the floodplain and documents the anticipated effects on floodplain values.
