Avalanche Hazard Reduction in John Stevens Canyon

Public input is currently sought during the scoping phase to insure that all issues are identified, all resources that may be affected are identified and all alternatives are considered. Public open house meetings will be held on May 25th in Essex, Montana at the Issac Walton Inn from 4:30-6:30 and on May 26th in Kalispell, Montana at the Fish, Wildlife and Parks building at 490 N. Meridian Road from 6:00-8:00pm.

Comments may be submitted at these meetings or by writing to Superintendent, Glacier National Park, Attn: Middle Fork EIS, PO Box 128, West Glacier, MT 59936 or electronically at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/ Comments are due by July 22, 2005.
