October 5, 2021 NCMAC Meeting
A meeting of the National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission (the Commission) will be held on Tuesday, October 5, at 1:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19 protocols, the meeting will be hosted virtually. Agenda:
The Commission will review:
• H.R. 4009, the Georgetown African American Historic Landmark Project and Tour to establish a commemorative work in the District of Columbia and its environs,
• S. 2571, the Flying Tiger Flight 739 Act, to provide for the inclusion on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall of the names of the soldiers who died on Flying Tiger Flight 739 on March 16, 1962.
• Texas Legation Memorial site selection,
• Fallen Journalists Memorial site selection
• First Infantry Division Memorial modification design,
• Amendments to Commission bylaws regarding DC Commemorative Works applications.

• Any questions concerning the agenda topics or meeting arrangements
• Filing a written statement in response to the meeting agenda items
• Providing oral testimony at the meeting
A comment period will be open for 14 days from October 5 - 19, 2021.
