Civic Engagement Summary Report

From November 25, 2019, through January 31, 2020, the National Park Service solicited public input on backcountry management at Wupatki National Monument, including potential future visitor opportunities, as part of the early (pre-NEPA) phases of planning for a backcountry management plan. The National Park Service conducted this civic engagement because public input is critical to understanding outside perspectives on visitor opportunities in backcountry portions of the monument, which are currently closed to unguided public use.

This report summarizes all public comments received during the November 2019 through January 2020 civic engagement period.
