Environmental Assessment: Navel Spring Water System Repair and Maintenance

The National Park Service (NPS) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) analyzing a proposal from Rio Tinto, a pre-1914 water rights claim holder at Navel Spring, to perform maintenance, repairs, and improvements to their water system in Death Valley National Park (Park). The EA is available for download at the bottom of this page.

The NPS is currently conducting a public comment period for review of this Environmental Assessment until December 16, 2013. To assist the National Park Service in planning, you are invited to comment on the EA.
