Future projects (next 3-7 years) will be the construction of a Visitor Center and administration facilities.
Minidoka National Historic Site is hosting a public meeting and forum to gather public comment and ideas regarding future development of the park. The meetings' primary focus will be examining the proposed changes to the park entrance, including modifications to the parking area and construction of a guard tower.

Project Back Ground
The Friends of Minidoka were awarded a grant from the 2012 Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program to restore the entrance of the camp to more closely resemble what former incarcerees witnessed when confined at Minidoka.
The focal point of this project will be a guard tower constructed and designed in partnership with Boise State University's Department of Construction Management. They will develop a class to research, construct, and install the guard tower at the Minidoka National Historic Site. This class is scheduled to take place this fall semester with Boise State students.
