George W. Bush Childhood Home Special Resource Study
Denver Service Center » George W. Bush Childhood Home Special Resource Study » Document List
The purpose of the special resource study was to gather information about the George W. Bush Childhood Home through research and public input, and then to report these findings to Congress. The special resource study evaluated the potential for inclusion of the property in the national park system based upon whether it meets established criteria for national significance, suitability, feasibility, and the need for NPS management. Outcomes of the study indicate that there is not a need for direct NPS management of the property.
Please use the "Links" tab on the left to access the final 2023 study report and find additional information on the criteria used to evaluate new national parklands. The George W. Bush Childhood Home Special Resource Study was authorized through Public Law 116-9, the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act.
