FOSU Visitor Use Management Plan

Welcome to the Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park Visitor Use Management Plan website. The National Park Service (NPS) will use this website to display public information throughout the course of this planning effort. Meeting dates and locations will be posted here, along with project updates and documents for public comment.

In January and February 2024, we sought your comments on the key issues and potential management strategies to improve visitor experiences and resource protection. Following this first opportunity for civic engagement, the planning team is integrating public feedback, refining the key issues and potential strategies, and continuing to develop the plan. Another period of civic engagement will occur in the spring of 2025 and seek public and stakeholder input on the draft plan.
