North Cascades Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan/Environmental Impact Statement

North Cascades National Park Service Complex » North Cascades Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan/Environmental Impact Statement » Document List

Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, (NEPA), the National Park Service (NPS) and the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) are jointly preparing a North Cascades Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (Plan/EIS).

The NPS and FWS hosted a series of public scoping open houses on both the east and west sides of the NCE in March 2015 to provide an opportunity for the public to share their comments and learn more about grizzly bear restoration.

The summary of public comments received during the scoping period is available in the "Documents List" section. The Draft EIS will be released for public comment in the Summer of 2016.

Additional information about grizzly bears and grizzly bear recovery is available on the websites listed in the "Links" section.
