Petrified Forest National Park Wilderness Stewardship Plan

Petrified Forest National Park » Petrified Forest National Park Wilderness Stewardship Plan » Document List

Dear Friends of Petrified Forest National Park,

I am pleased to announce the availability of the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Wilderness Stewardship Plan and Environmental Assessment. The FONSI reflects the input received from the public, associated tribes, and other agencies on the plan.

The approved wilderness stewardship plan guides the protection, management, and use of the park's two wilderness units, helping ensure that wilderness character is preserved unimpaired for future use and enjoyment.

The National Park Service values your interest in the management of Petrified Forest National Park and its wilderness area. We look forward to implementing this plan with your continued support and collaboration.

Brad Traver, Superintendent
