Install Pier Facilities for NPS Emergency Response Vessels

The construction of the floating boat pier would be located adjacent to the NPS boat ramp. Three conceptual designs are being considered, including a straight, T-shaped, and L-shaped configuration. The pier would range between 78 to 98 linear feet in length, would be 8 feet wide, and would include a 40 foot aluminum gangway. The pier would be constructed of sustainable materials where feasible, which would include recycled plastic timbers and planking. The construction of the pier would reduce navigational hazards and enhance emergency response time to better serve park visitors.
