Mountain Lakes Fishery Management Plan/EIS
The planning process for the Final Mountain Lakes Fishery Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement is now complete. Beginning July 1, 2009, the Selected Action is to implement Management Alternative D as described in the Final Plan/EIS and in the Record of Decision.
In summary, the Selected Action will seek to restore the native ecology of the naturally fishless mountain lakes in North Cascades by ceasing to allow further stocking, and by removing high densities of reproducing fish populations where feasible.
