Multi-Use Trail Environmental Assessment
Rocky Mountain National Park » Multi-Use Trail Environmental Assessment » Document List
Rocky Mountain National Park is exploring the possibility of developing a multiuse trail on the east side of the park that would roughly parallel, but be separate from, existing roadways. The trail would be located outside designated wilderness and would accommodate non-motorized, self-propelled modes of travel. Our vision is to ultimately connect the trail in the park with the trail network that is being developed within the Estes Valley. The trail would provide another way to access and enjoy the national park. As part of the planning process an Environmental Assessment (EA) is being prepared in order to evaluate the potential impacts on natural resources, cultural resources, and socioeconomics.
