Institute at Tremont Development Concept Plan/Environmental Assessment
Great Smoky Mountains National Park » Institute at Tremont Development Concept Plan/Environmental Assessment » Document List
Friends,
The National park Service has wrapped up the preparation of a Development Concept Plan/Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Great Smoky Mountain Institute at Tremont. The EA looked at various alternatives to improve the facilities at Tremont. The plan is required to meet the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act for the Federal decision on the improvements.
The objective of the Design Concept Plan/Environmental Assessment was to evaluate existing facilities as they related to meeting current program needs, and to develop conceptual designs for alternative facilities that will better support the Tremont program.
Thank you very much for your interest in the propose project at the Tremont campus. We encourage you to browse this website for the newsletter, public meeting dates, and project information.
Sincerely,
Dale A. Ditmanson, Superintendent
