Description:
The dam currently provides water to the historic Ohio & Erie Canal which is an important cultural and educational resource, but it is also a factor in several negative impacts to the river including water quality, habitat alterations, barriers to fish movements and recreational hazards.
The NPS and OEPA have initiated an Environmental Impact Statement that analyzes the potential impacts of modification and/or removal of the dam. This meeting is an opportunity for the public to receive updates and provide input on this EIS process.

Happy Days Lodge is located In Cuyahoga Valley National Park on State Route 303, 2 miles east of the Village of Peninsula and 1 mile west of State Route 8.
