| Description: | The National Park Service in cooperation with the Ohio EPA has initiated an Environmental Impact Statement that analyzes the potential impacts of modification and/or removal of the Canal Diversion Dam on the Cuyahoga River at Station Road. A variety of background documents have been completed and are available for review below including: -Cuyahoga River HEC-RAS Study -National Register Assessment of the Brecksville Diversion Dam -Cuyahoga River Canal Diversion Dam - Alternative Flow Options -History of the Brecksville Dam - A Summary of Previous Public Input (added 10-27-09) - Slides from the 10-28-09 Public Meeting Presenation (added 10-29-09) A Notice of Intent (also below) was published in the Federal Register on July 24, 2009. We accepted public input on this proposed action through November 28, 2009. Added 11-09-10: A ground penetrating radar survey of the dam pool was completed which successfully located the old Pinery Dam under water. You may download the report below. |
