City of Roswell - Willeo Road Multi-Use Trail EA

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, a unit of the National Park Service, would like to invite the public and interested parties to comment on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed project entitled Willeo Road Multi-Use Trail. The proposed project aims to extend the current multi-use trail system in Roswell to provide connectivity between the existing Roswell Riverside municipal trail system in Fulton County and a separate trail currently under construction along Lower Roswell Road beginning at the Cobb County line. NPS would undertake a federal action in issuing a Special-Use Permit to the City of Roswell for construction of trail segments within the legislated boundary of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA). The EA describes the purpose of and need for the project, alternatives that were considered, existing conditions at the site, and the effects of the alternatives on natural and cultural resources.

The EA is available for review by clicking on the links below under Document Content. The EA document has been divided into four sections for easier downloading. The main document contains the full body of the Evironmental Assessment plus Appendices A through C. Three separate documents contain Appendices D, E and F.

You may submit comments on the EA by mail (Superintendent, CRNRA, 1978 Island Ford Parkway, Sandy Springs, GA 30350), electronic mail (chat_superintendent@nps.gov), or through this website (prefered). Please be aware that your entire comment, including your personal identifying information, may be made publicly available. While you can ask to have your identity withheld, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. We will always make submissions from organizations or businesses, and from individuals identifying themselves as representatives of organizations or businesses, available for public inspection.
