The NPS is preparing an environmental assessment that will evaluate the environmental effects of the alternatives related to the proposed redevelopment and restoration project. Interested members of the public are invited to provide input on the project goals and the proposed project work. Comments received during this initial scoping period will be used to help define the issues and concerns to be addressed in the environmental assessment and also to develop additional alternatives.

Step 2. Conduct internal scoping with park staff to determine initial issues
Step 3. Conduct external public scoping
Step 4. Evaluate public scoping comments and identify issues and alternatives

Step 7. Select environmentally preferred alternative
Step 8. Prepare environmental assessment

Public comment may be submitted online by selecting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks at the NPS Planning, Environment and Public Comment website, http://parkplanning.nps.gov/seki. The public may also direct comments regarding this project to the park in writing by sending an e-mail to seki_planning@nps.gov, or the public may mail or hand deliver their comments to:
